21st and 1/4 Century: A 20th Century Cocktail Riff

A delicious trifecta of coconut, chocolate, and citrus.

This twist on the 20th Century cocktail uses coconut rum as a stand-in for gin, a sub that works seamlessly with the drink’s lemon and crème de cacao. “I dig the coconut-chocolate-citrus combo,” says the recipe’s creator, Erik Tennyson.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. coconut rum
  • 1 oz. Cochi Americano
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz. gentian liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. crème de cacao
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:dehydrated lemon wheel

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to the shaker with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a glass, then garnish.
