Perry Street Espresso Martini

For his take on the Espresso Martini, Chris Moore, beverage director of Jean-Georges restaurants, plays up the espresso’s chocolate flavors with cocoa honey, crème de cacao, and chocolate bitters.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz. espresso
  • 1/2 oz. cocoa honey
  • 1/4 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 1/4 oz. crème de cacao
  • 2 dashes chocolate bitters
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:grated chocolate

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a coupe. Garnish.
Cocoa HoneyAdd 3 1/3 cups of honey, 2/3 cup of water, 1 2/3 cups of cacao nibs, and 1 vanilla pod to a saucepan and heat on medium for 10 minutes. Strain and cool. Will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
