Scandinavian Daiquiri

daiquiri

daiquiriKyle Webster inherited this daiquiri recipe from his time working at House Spirits, maker of Krogstad Aquavit, and he added it to the opening menu at Expatriate. “It’s a very simple drink but beloved by many,” Webster says. He uses Krogstad in the mix but says most styles of aquavit will work.

2 oz. aquavit
1 oz. fresh lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup (1:1—Expatriate uses palm sugar)
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: star anise

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled glass; garnish.
