The Roycroft: A Rye Whiskey Cocktail

Whiskey Sour Riff

An herbaceous rye whiskey cocktail.

Herbal and fruit liqueurs interweave in this rye whiskey cocktail served by Gary Crunkleton at his eponymous bar.


  • 1 oz. rye whiskey
  • ½ oz. green Chartreuse
  • ½ oz. Bénédictine
  • ½ oz. Cherry Heering
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:thin slice of fresh ginger


Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a coupe and garnish.
