Tequila and passion fruit meet génépy and absinthe.

The richness of passion fruit brightens this herbaceous tequila cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. blanco tequila
  • 1/2 oz. génépy
  • 3/4 oz. passion fruit syrup
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash absinthe
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:double rocks
  • Garnish:banana leaf (optional)

Preparation

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice, then strain over a large ice cube in a double rocks glass. Garnish.

Passion Fruit Syrup: Combine equal parts passion fruit purée and rich simple syrup (2:1). Shake to combine. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
