Rye whiskey brings an extra layer of richness to this sherry cocktail.

The nuttiness of amontillado meets the spice of rye whiskey in this sherry cocktail from Fable Lounge in Nashville.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. amontillado sherry
1 oz. Wild Turkey 101 rye whiskey
1/4 oz. rich Demerara syrup (2:1)
1/2 orange slice

Tools:shaker, strainer
Glass:rocks
Garnish:orange coin, mint bouquet, cherry

Preparation

In a shaker, muddle the orange slice. Add the remaining ingredients plus ice and shake to chill. Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice. Garnish.
