Cyrano From Death & Co Denver

Richness abounds in this contemporary cocktail.

Two types of rum and a touch of pineapple perfectly contrast a rich Italian amaro.


  • 1 oz. aged rhum agricole (Death & Co uses Rhum JM VSOP)
  • 3⁄4 oz. Cynar
  • 1⁄4 oz. Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum
  • 1 tsp. pineapple syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 lime
  • Tools:muddler, knife, barspoon
  • Glass:Old Fashioned
  • Garnish:mint sprig


Using a small knife, cut a coin-size piece of peel from the lime, cutting deep enough to include a small amount of flesh with the peel. Muddle the lime piece in an Old Fashioned glass, then add the remaining ingredients. Fill the glass with cracked ice, briefly stir the drink, then garnish.
