Manhattan Riff Bourbon Heritage Month

Averna, PX sherry and a whisper of absinthe bring new flavor to the original.

The Manhattan travels to Milwaukee in this rich and fragrant cocktail from Goodkind.

Ingredients

2 oz. bourbon (Goodkind uses Woodford Reserve)
¾ oz. Carpano Antica Formula vermouth
½ oz. Pedro Ximenez sherry
1 tsp. Averna
1 tsp. absinthe

Tools:barspoon, strainer
Glass:coupe
Garnish:orange twist

Preparation

Stir the first 4 ingredients with ice until chilled. Rinse a chilled coupe with absinthe, discarding the excess, then strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and garnish.
