An easy-drinking refresher with a complex and vegetal finish.
This vodka cocktail, named after a bright and fragrant lily hybrid, will please cocktail drinkers of all tastes. “You’re greeted right away with citrus and cucumber up front,” says the drink’s creator, Jake Powell of Death & Company in Denver. “But as you keep drinking it, the complexities from the gentian amaro and vegetal green chile start to reveal themselves.”
Combine all of the ingredients except the seltzer in an ice-filled shaker, shake, then strain into a Collins glass over ice. Top with seltzer and garnish.
Cucumber SyrupJuice 2-3 cucumbers for 1 cup of juice. Blend with 1 cup of white sugar. Will keep for 1 week in the refrigerator.
