A rhum-based Collins that gets a kiss of Doug Fir liqueur.

To capture the character of the Pacific Northwest in a cocktail, bartender Ricky Agustin welcomes a kiss of Douglas Fir liqueur to this rhum-based sipper.


  • 1 1/4 oz. rhum agricole
  • 3/4 oz. Douglas Fir liqueur
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
  • 3 sprigs mint
  • Grapefruit twist
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:Collins
  • Garnish:mint, Douglas Fir tip (optional)


Gently muddle the mint in the bottom of a tin with the lime juice, then add the rest of the ingredients. Express the grapefruit peel into the tin and drop it in. Add ice, then shake to chill. Strain into a Collins glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish.
