Vermouth Cocktail

A piney juniper-forward gin adds a bright pop to vermouth and crème de cassis.

The prominent piney notes of a juniper-forward gin keep the spirit’s character at the forefront of this vermouth cocktail, even though it’s used in small amounts.


  • 1 oz. dry vermouth
  • ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. crème de cassis
  • ¼ oz. juniper-forward gin
  • 3-4 oz. chilled tonic water
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:Collins


Combine the first 4 ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice to chill. Strain into glass filled with fresh ice; top with chilled tonic.
