Idlewild Vermouth Cocktail

“The Idlewild took inspiration from a Chartreuse Swizzle and the desire to create a low-abv cocktail,” says St. Julep beverage manager Trey Ledbetter of this tropical concoction. “Instead of a full pour of Chartreuse, we balance the Chartreuse with Alessio Bianco, a white vermouth that is both sweet and dry with loads of vanilla. What you’re left with is a refreshing, herbal summer sipper, perfect for your front porch.”

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. bianco vermouth (Ledbetter uses Alessio Bianco)
  • 1/2 oz. falernum
  • 1 oz. green Chartreuse
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:pineapple or Collins
  • Garnish:pineapple leaves, maraschino cherry

Preparation

Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker. Add crushed ice and whip shake to chill. Strain into a glass, then garnish.
