Camparajillo

Camparajillo

A cross between two prizefighters: a Negroni and a Carajillo.

Red Fox in Boston’s North End combines two beloved classics—the Negroni and the Carajillo—to create the Camparajillo. Still-strength blanco tequila and mezcal give the coffee cocktail a boozy agave backbone.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Campari
  • 1/2 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Licor 43
  • 1/2 oz. sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 oz. still-strength blanco tequila
  • 1/4 oz. mezcal
  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
  • Glass:double Old Fashioned
  • Garnish:single espresso bean

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice, then stir until chilled, about 20 seconds. Pour into a glass over a large ice cube. Express then orange twist over the cocktail and discard. Garnish.
