This spiked cooler from Denise Gee’s Porch Parties is just the thing to help you beat the heat all summer. And while Gee’s recipe calls for vodka, feel free to substitute with other clear spirits like gin or white rum.
4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed into 2-inch pieces
1 cup vodka, chilled
2 Tbsp. clover honey
Tools: blender
Glass: jars or collins
Garnish: watermelon wedge with rind
Freeze watermelon chunks in a zip-top plastic bag until just frozen, about 1 hour. Remove from freezer and add to blender. Pour in vodka and honey and process until thoroughly blended.
