Although Anaheim tropical bar Strong Water, which is a freeway exit away from Disneyland, features a rum-heavy menu, bartender Lynette Le-Lim wanted to create a vodka drink that tasted like biting into fresh fruit on a hot day. Her Birds of Paradise cocktail not only does that, but she says it’s “approachable to anyone who wants to enjoy escapism with a libation.”
Muddle strawberry, cucumber, and syrup together in the shaker. Add rest of ingredients and ice to the shaker. Shake and double strain over pebble ice in a glass. Garnish.
