Kiss of Life: A Cucumber Cocktail

Kiss of Life: cucumber gin cocktail

A cooling combo of gin, cucumber, and aloe.

Blessed with a bountiful harvest of Katrina cucumbers, a heat-tolerant Persian cucumber, Daniel O’Brien and Ethan Deering of Healdsburg’s Little Saint, which has its own farm, created this verdant cocktail. Inspired by the Gimlet, they added fresh cucumber juice and aloe liqueur, resulting in a cooling cocktail that’s perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. fresh cucumber juice
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. salted agave syrup
  • 1/2 oz. Chareau aloe liqueur
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:cucumber ribbon on a skewer

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a coupe. Garnish.
Salted Agave SyrupAdd 2 1/2 cups of raw agave syrup, 1 1/4 cups of hot water, and 1/2 tsp. of kosher salt to a vessel and stir to combine. Will keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
