Anvil Daiquiri

Houston knows heat. And come July when temperatures can reach well into the triple digits, locals in the know head to Anvil for an off-menu Daiquiri made with Jamaican rum, fresh lime juice and a rich turbinado syrup.


2 oz. Jamaican white rum

3/4 oz. fresh lime juice

1/4 oz. turbinado syrup (2:1 sugar to water)

Ice cubes

Tools: shaker, strainer

Glass: cocktail or coupe

Garnish: lime wedge


Combine all ingredients with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
