White Lady Cocktail

A gin-based classic.

Shannon Tebay spruced up this classic gin cocktail for the menu at the American Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel.


  • 1 ¾ oz. London dry gin
  • ¾ oz. Cointreau
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. simple syrup (1:1)
  • 1 fresh egg white
  • Tools: shaker, strainer, fine strainer
  • Glass:coupe


Shake all of the ingredients without ice until foamy, then add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled. Double strain into a chilled glass, then express a lemon twist over the drink and discard the peel.
