This Olive Oil Sour is a favorite of visitors to Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Owner and award-winning bartender Lorenzo Antinori fortifies the cocktail’s body with Italian brandy, oloroso sherry, and a touch of olive oil.

Ingredients

1 oz. bourbon
2/3 oz. Italian brandy
1/3 oz. oloroso sherry
1/2 oz. honey syrup (3:1 honey to water)
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 fresh egg white (pasteurized if you like)

Tools:shaker, strainer
Glass:coupe
Garnish:freshly grated nutmeg

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker and dry shake. Add ice and shake hard. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
