Kiwito: A Kiwi Mojito

Kaitlyn Stewart’s take on a rum classic.

This extra-fruity riff on the classic Mojito recipe swaps out the traditional white rum for a split base of Brazilian cachaça and rhum agricole.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. cachaça
  • 1 oz. rhum agricole
  • 1/2 fresh kiwi
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tsp. raw sugar
  • Tools:shaker, strainer, fine strainer
  • Glass:rocks or Collins
  • Garnish:fresh kiwi, mint leaves

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker and gently muddle the kiwi. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Fine strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish.
