Fairgrounds founder Michael Schultz created this autumnal elixir as an homage to his grandfather. (Note the small dose of bitters in Grandpa Irv’s Old Fashioned means the drink is not 100% alcohol-free).
1 shot espresso
½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
5 dashes walnut bitters
Tools: shaker, strainer
Garnish: orange peel
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake to chill. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish.
