From his plot in the Cook’s Garden by HGEL—an urban farm in Venice—LA bartender and longtime local Matthew Biancaniello grows ingredients for the cocktails and infusions that flavor the chef-paired pop-ups he hosts at the same location. “I couldn’t do what I’m doing anywhere else in the world,” he says.
