Polite Provisions was featured as Imbibe’s 2014 Bar of the Year in the Jan/Feb 2014 Imbibe 75 issue. Here, bourbon, almond syrup and Angostura bitters make for a simple sipper with a complex taste.
2 oz. bourbon
1/2 oz. orgeat
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Tools: mixing glass, barspoon
Glass: coupe
Garnish: lemon twist
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice cubes until well chilled. Strain into a coupe and garnish.
