Lilikoi Sunset: A Passion Fruit Daiquiri

An extra-tropical twist on the Daiquiri.

For this passion fruit Daiquiri, Mauro Hernandez of James Beard-nominated tropical bar Strong Water in Anaheim, California, adds a touch of funk with Jamaican rum and leans into the Daiquiri’s tropical character with passion fruit syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Jamaican rum
  • 1 oz. aged white rum
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. rich cane syrup (2:1)
  • 1/4 oz. passion fruit syrup (see note)
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:lime wheel

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to an ice-filled shaker and shake to chill. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish.
