Everyone has a preference about the gin to vermouth ratio in a classic martini recipe. Argue if you must, but we prefer a boozy 2:1 gin to vermouth ratio.
Stir ingredients briskly with ice, then strain into a chilled glass. Twist a small strip of lemon peel over the drink. You may drop it in, if you prefer.
