Jockey Club Cocktail

When searching for a light and bright drink to serve in honor of the Triple Crown, Redbird bar director Tobin Shea looked to the 1930’s-era Jockey Club cocktail from the Savoy Cocktail Book. “The drink is very refreshing and a nice compliment to the rest of the cocktails in the collection,” he says.

2 oz. gin
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
¾ oz. crème de noyaux
½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
2 dashes orange bitters
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: lemon twist

Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin and add ice. Shake until chilled. Fine strain into a Coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
