The 15th annual Charleston Wine + Food is taking place from March 4 to the 8 with even more hands-on classes, workshops, and events. This is always one of our favorite events of the year and a great chance to sample cocktails and food from the region’s best bartenders and chefs at the Culinary Village, learn new techniques and trends from industry pros, and enjoy signature dinners at Charleston’s top restaurants.
Imbibe is excited to be part of the festivities once again and will be sponsoring a series of spirit-focused workshops. Some events have already sold out, but there are still tickets available for many of the events—here are a few highlights.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
Classic Cocktails 101 (SOLD OUT)
Want to build a better home bar? Jerry and Krista Slater of The Expat in Athens, Georgia, are taking it back to the basics as they cover the fundamentals of creating the perfect home bar and mastering classic techniques.
Sea Aged Bourbon (SOLD OUT)
You’ll sip a variety of Jefferson’s small batch bourbons and ryes for this workshop, and hear the founder and master blender of Jefferson’s Bourbon talk about how he challenges the conventional thinking of what bourbon can be.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
All In: Zero-Waste Cocktails (SOLD OUT)
The bar teams at FIG + The Ordinary are teaming up to show you how they make zero-waste cocktails. You’ll learn how to use all parts of the ingredients that go into your drinks, as well as how to update your home bar cart to be completely sustainable.
SUNDAY, MARCH 8
Cocktails for a Crowd
Four of Charleston’s top bartenders will be going head-to-head, this time with a sustainable twist. Expect delicious punches, seasonal spritzes, and other unique creations. Imbibe senior editor Penelope Bass will be on hand to help judge the recipes.
