Negroni Week 2020 Shifts Amid the COVID-19 Crisis

With the COVID-19’s global spread resulting in continuing and widespread bar and restaurant closures, and with countries and communities implementing different sets of rules and restrictions for reopening, Negroni Week 2020 has shifted its focus in accordance.

This year, Negroni Week (September 14-20) will be a virtual event, enabling everyone to celebrate safely by enjoying a Negroni at home. Negroni Week’s fundraising goals are likewise shifting, focusing 100 percent on supporting the hospitality industry, which has suffered immeasurable losses as a result of the global pandemic. We will be partnering solely with organizations providing assistance and support to hospitality workers, and for the first time, we will be seeking donations online from consumers to help with these fundraising efforts.

NegroniWeek.com will continue as a hub for the initiative this year, with a focus on these fundraising efforts. Donations will be open on NegroniWeek.com around September 1. We will also be celebrating throughout Negroni Week via Imbibe and Campari’s social media channels (@imbibe, @campariofficial, and @campariUSA) and, of course, through the #NegroniWeek hashtag.

Our hope is that 2021 will bring better days, and that we will be able to return Negroni Week to its more familiar format of years past. In the meantime, our goal is to do our very best to give back to the industry that has contributed so much to this initiative over the years. We hope that you will join us in celebrating this year, as safely as possible.
