Holidays in the tropics! This seasonal sipper combines aged rum with citrus and spice for a deliciously festive refresher.
2 oz. aged rum (Magarian uses Cruzan Single Barrel)
1/4 oz. allspice dram
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
1 small egg white
Tools: shaker, strainer
Garnish: edible silver flakes (optional)
In a shaker, combine all ingredients and dry shake vigorously for 6 seconds. Add ice and re-shake for 6 more seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with edible silver flake, if using.
