Loosely inspired by the classic Lion’s Tail, this bourbon cocktail from bartender Nicholas Flower strikes a beautiful balance between baking spice flavor, vanilla and fresh citrus.
2 oz. bourbon (Flower uses Elijah Craig)
¾ oz. Licor 43
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
¼ oz. allspice dram
10 mint leaves
Tools: shaker, strainer
Garnish: mint sprig
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish.
