smugglers-cove-three-dots-crdt-dylan+Jeni-webThis tiki classic was created during WWII by the godfather of the genre himself, Donn Beach. The name means “victory” in Morse Code. San Francisco’s modern tiki mecca Smuggler’s Cove adapted this version from Beachbum Berry’s Sippin’ Safari.

½ oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. fresh orange juice
½ oz. honey syrup (1:1)
¼ oz. John D. Taylor’s Velvet Falernum
¼ oz. St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
1½ oz. rhum agricole (Smuggler’s Cove uses AOC Martinique vieux 8)
½ oz. blended aged rum
1 dash Angostura bitters
Tools: blender
Glass: Footed Pilsner
Garnish: 3 maraschino cherries on a cocktail pick a pineapple wedge or frond (thus illustrating the name)

Add all the ingredients to a blender tin. Fill with 12 ounces of crushed ice, flash blend, and pour contents into a footed pilsner glass. Add garnish.
