Manor Bar Whiskey Sea

The warm notes of rum, banana, and chocolate contrast a bright pop of citrus.

At The Manor Bar in Montecito hotel Rosewood Miramar Beach, the cocktails are inspired by the literary works authored by women and featuring female protagonists. Their Whiskey Sea cocktail takes its inspiration and name from Ann Howard Creel’s novel about an illegal rum-running business. The warm notes of the aged rum, banana liqueur, and crème de cacao balance out the bright pop of lemon juice and grapefruit bitters.


  • 2 oz. aged rum (The Manor Bar uses Bacardi 8)
  • 1/2 oz. crème de cacao
  • 1/2 oz. banana liqueur
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes grapefruit bitters
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:rocks
  • Garnish:dehydrated banana chip


Add all of the ingredients to a shaker along with ice and shake. Strain over a large ice cube into a glass. Garnish.
