A novel twist on a Martini.

For Imbibe 75 Place to Watch The Danforth, Gin & Luck Beverage Director Tyson Buhler and head bartender Carlo Caroscio used the perfect Martini template (using equal parts dry and sweet vermouth) to create their own take featuring a novel flavor profile. “The addition of a local gin, Bimini, that’s fat washed with coconut oils, adds complexity while a small measure of absinthe helps to lift the drink and add brightness,” Buhler explains.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Bimini coconut gin
  • 1/2 oz. Dolin Dry vermouth
  • 1/2 oz. Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
  • 2 dashes absinthe
  • Tools:mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
  • Glass:martini

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass along with ice. Stir and strain into a glass. Express a grapefruit twist over the glass and discard.
