Red Pepper Daisy

Red pepper amps up the iconic pairing of tequila and lime.

John Lermayer amped up the iconic pairing of tequila and lime with a little red pepper in this twist on a classic Daisy.


  • 4 dime-size slices red bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 oz. reposado tequila
  • 1/2 oz. agave nectar
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • Chilled club soda
  • Tools:shaker, muddler, strainer
  • Glass:highball
  • Garnish:spear of red bell pepper


Muddle the pepper slices in a shaker. Add tequila, agave nectar, lime juice and ice. Shake to chill. Strain into an ice-filled glass and add club soda to taste. Garnish.
