Pimm’s Cup Riff: Bloodline

A fruit-forward take on the Pimm’s Cup.

This fruit-forward take on the classic Pimm’s Cup has just the right amount of citrusy pucker to complement the fresh bouquet of botanicals.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz. Pimm's No. 1
  • 1 oz. London Dry gin
  • ½ oz. fresh blood orange juice
  • ¾ oz. fresh watermelon juice
  • ¼ oz. fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz. thyme syrup
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:dehydrated blood orange round, thyme sprig

Preparation

Add all the ingredients to an ice-filled shaker and shake to combine, then strain into the glass and garnish.

Thyme syrup: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water to boil over medium heat. Once boiling, add 1 cup of sugar and a small bundle of thyme, stir well. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Once cool, strain the syrup into a jar and keep refrigerated for 1 week.
