Pan-American Clipper Cocktail

A classic combo of apple brandy, lemon, lime, grenadine and absinthe. 

St. John Frizell adapted this Charles H. Baker classic by tweaking the ratios sightly, using a split of lemon and lime juice, and using American apple brandy.


  • 2 oz. apple brandy
  • ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz. grenadine
  • 1 tsp. absinthe
  • Tools:shaker, strainer, atomizer (optional)
  • Glass:cocktail


Shake the first 4 ingredients with ice to chill; coat the inside of the glass with absinthe (discarding the excess), then strain the drink into the prepared glass.
