Oaxacan Dead, A Tequila Zombie

The classic Zombie gets an earthy update thanks to the addition of tequila and mezcal.

¾ oz. reposado tequila
¾ oz. aged Jamaican rum
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. velvet falernum
½ oz. Donn’s mix (1:1 grapefruit juice to cinnamon syrup)
1 tsp. mezcal
1 tsp. grenadine
1 dash Angostura bitters
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: tiki mug
Garnish: mint sprig, grapefruit twist, fresh grated cinnamon and cherry

Add all of the the ingredients to a shaker and shake with one ice cube. Pour over crushed ice into a mug, then garnish.
