A touch sweeter than the modern classic.

When a customer at JJ DAK requested a sweeter version of the Cosmopolitan, the bartender obliged, creating what quickly became the bar’s most popular cocktail. Their Not Your Cosmo riff gets sweetened with a syrup made from lime juice and cranberries.

Ingredients

2 oz. vodka
1 1/2 oz. limeade cranberry reduction
1 oz. dry curaçao (JJ DAK uses Pierre Ferrand)
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice

6.4 oz. sugar
4 oz. fresh lime juice
4 oz. cranberry juice

Tools:shaker, strainer, fine strainer, saucepan
Glass:coupette
Garnish:lime wheel

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a shaker, shake, then double strain it into the glass. Garnish.

Limeade Cranberry Reduction Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and put on low heat for about 15 minutes to reduce. Will keep refrigerated for up to a month.
