This ultra-refreshing cocktail brings the best flavor of coffee to the glass without the caffeine.

This cocktail brings the best flavor of coffee to the glass without the caffeine. In the drink, the botanical flavors of gin and tonic merge seamlessly with the bittersweetness of chocolate and coffee. Note: This drink can also be made alcohol-free drink by simply leaving out the gin and the crème de cacao.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. gin
  • 3/4 oz. decaf cold-brew coffee
  • 1/2 oz. cardamom-allspice cordial
  • 1/4 oz. crème de cacao
  • Tonic water, to top
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:Collins
  • Garnish:mint sprig

Preparation

Shake all of the ingredients except the tonic in a shaker with ice until throughly chilled. Pour into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with tonic water. Spritz the top with absinthe and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

Cardamom-Allspice Cordial: Combine 1 oz. of ground cardamom and 1 oz. of ground allspice in a large teabag. Boil 32 oz. of water and steep the teabag for 15 minutes. Add 32 oz, of sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
