A cheeky pink drink from a cocktail legend.
Cocktail legend Julie Reiner created her own version of the original Milady’s Martini from the beloved 70-year-old SoHo dive bar. Reiner and her partners Susan Fedroff, Sam Sherman, and Christine Williams reopened the spot last year after having transformed it into a chic craft cocktail bar. Now it’s one of our 2023 Imbibe 75 Places to Watch.
In the Milady’s Martini, rosé vermouth and Amaro Santoni color the gin and fino sherry martini with a slight pink hue. “We serve it as a ‘cheeky’ size, which is just a three-ounce pour,” says Reiner, “making this a great one to sip if you want to have multiple drinks without overindulging.”
Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled glass and garnish.
Note: For the amaro, Reiner says Ramazotti or an even split of Campari and Aperol can serve as a substitute.
