Brunch just got a little more boozy with this whiskey and coffee-laden delight from Jacoby’s in Austin.

This maple cocktail combines a cast of fall flavors that make for an excellent brunch drink.

  • 1½ oz. bourbon
  • 1½ oz. cold-brew coffee
  • ½ oz. falernum
  • 2 dashes chocolate bitters
  • 2 barspoons maple simple syrup
  • 1 barspoon Frangelico
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:coupe
  • Garnish:coffee grounds

Combine all ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake to chill, strain and garnish.

Maple Simple Syrup: Mix 2 cups of maple syrup and 1 cup of water into a pot, shave in about a quarter of nutmeg and throw in 3 cinnamon sticks, bring to a slow boil stirring regularly as to not let it burn. Remove from heat and let cool.
