Lambrusco Spritz

Brandon Ristaino of Bank of Italy Cocktail Trust in Ventura, California, wanted to combine his love for lambrusco with his love for aperitivo culture. The result is this low-proof lambrusco spritz recipe. Cocchi Rosa Americano’s bitter orange notes complement the lambrusco’s dark fruit and berry flavors, while fernet draws out the finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. Cocchi Rosa Americano
  • 2 1/4 oz. lambrusco (fruit-forward and dry)
  • 4 dashes (or 1/2 tsp.) fernet
  • 3/4 oz. soda water
  • Tools:barspoon
  • Glass:large wine
  • Garnish:grapefruit twist

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to a glass with ice. Briefly stir to incorporate the ingredients. Garnish.
