Just Friends Jungle Bird riff

A Jungle Bird that doesn’t come on too strong.

Bar Pigalle’s riff on the Jungle Bird switches out the molasses-heavy blackstrap rum for grassy rhum agricole and Campari for Suze, making for a softer and more floral cocktail.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. rhum agricole blanc (Bar Pigalle uses Rhum J.M. 80 proof)
1 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz. Suze
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup

Tools:shaker, strainer
Glass:collins
Garnish:pineapple frond

Preparation

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 3-5 ice cubes. Short shake, then strain over pebble ice in a Collins glass. Garnish.
