J & Tony’s Hot Negroni

The classic cocktail goes toddy-style.

Just when it seemed like the well of Negroni riffs has been sufficiently tapped, Ewan Bennie brings a clever approach to the table by transforming the classic build into a hot toddy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz. London dry gin
  • 3/4 oz. Campari
  • 1 oz. vermouth syrup
  • 1/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 4 oz. hot water
  • Tools:barspoon
  • Glass:glass mug
  • Garnish:orange peel

Preparation

In a hot mug, combine the first 4 ingredients, then add hot water. Garnish.

Vermouth Syrup: Combine 3 parts Cocchi vermouth di Torino with 1 part sugar. Shake to combine.
