Frozen Sherry Margarita From Columbia Room

A delicious update on the frozen classic.

Sherry and tequila get along swimmingly, and in this recipe, the two join forces for a burst of summery goodness. “Sometimes two ingredients harmonize so well that it’s simply impossible not to put them together,” says bartender Paul Taylor, adding that the foundation for the recipe is based on the ever-popular Tommy’s Margarita.


  • 2 oz. reposado tequila
  • 1 oz. amontillado sherry
  • 1 1/2 oz. agave nectar
  • 1 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 20 drops saline solution
  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • Tools:blender
  • Glass:tulip
  • Garnish:lime wheel


Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish.

Saline Solution: Combine 10 parts water to 1 part salt. Shake until the salt dissolves.
