Frosty Nail: A Frozen Rusty Nail

A summery take on the classic Scotch cocktail.

The Rusty Nail may be a classic winter warmer, but bartenders at Bunny Slope and Bodega saw frozen potential in the scotch-based standard.


  • 2 oz. blended scotch whisky
  • 3⁄4 oz. Drambuie
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 12 oz. crushed ice
  • Tools:blender
  • Glass:footed pilsner or Collins
  • Garnish:lemon peel


Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish.
