The Fat Radish Pimm’s Cup Riff

Strawberries and Strega set this riff apart.

This Pimm’s Cup riff from the new outpost of the Fat Radish in Savannah brings Italian liqueur Strega to the glass for a touch of saffron, then brightens things with a fresh strawberry syrup.


  • 1 oz. Pimm's No. 1
  • ½ oz. gin
  • ½ oz. Strega
  • ½ oz. strawberry syrup
  • ¼ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • Ginger beer, to top
  • 3 blueberries
  • Tools:shaker, strainer
  • Glass:wine glass
  • Garnish:mint sprig, orange slice, half strawberry, blueberries


Combine all the ingredients except the ginger beer in a shaker, add ice and shake to chill. Add ginger beer, then strain over fresh ice. Garnish.

Strawberry Syrup: Slice ½ cup of ripe strawberries thinly and combine them with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let sit for 2 hours for a slow infusion. Add ½ a teaspoon of citric acid and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
