Normandy Old Fashioned

French and American apple brandies build a strong foundation for this elegant cocktail.

1½ oz. Calvados (Roquette uses Domaine du Manoir de Montreuil Réserve)
1½ oz. apple brandy (Roquette uses Laird’s 7½ Year)
¼ oz. rich simple syrup (2:1)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
1 dash pimento bitters
Tools: barspoon, strainer
Glass: Old Fashioned
Garnish: orange twist and cherry

Stir all of the ingredients with ice to chill, strain into a glass over a large ice cube, then garnish.
