Morning Glory Fizz

1 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. Cognac
1 tsp. orange curaçao
1 tsp. simple syrup (1:1)
1 tsp. absinthe
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Club soda
Tools: mixing glass, barspoon, strainer
Glass: rocks
Garnish: lemon twist

Add everything except club soda to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir to chill and strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with 1 or 2 ounces of club soda, to taste. Twist the lemon peel over the drink and drop into drink.
