Rose syrup gives this sparkling cocktail a floral accent.
1½ oz. Cocchi Rosa Aperitivo Americano
¾ oz. gin
½ oz. rose syrup
½ oz. fresh lime juice
2 oz. dry sparkling wine
Tools: shaker, strainer, fine strainer
Garnish: dried rose buds, fresh edible flowers
Shake the first four ingredients with ice, then double strain into a chilled glass and top with chilled sparkling wine, and garnish.
Rose Syrup: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a simmer, then pour into a mixing bowl holding 10 grams of organic dried rose petals. Let steep for 10 minutes, then strain, pressing solids to extract the liquid. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir to dissolve.
